Assisting You with Wills and Trusts Solutions in Oklahoma City
In an estate plan, a will or revocable trust is often one of the major foundations on which it stands. Other essential documents in your estate plan may include medical and financial documents. After choosing an estate plan for your family, it must be executed and implemented.
The Terrell Law Firm is passionate about providing individuals and families with the right information so they can make informed decisions about estate planning. We work closely with clients’ trusted accountants, financial advisors, and insurance professionals to create the most comprehensive estate plans.
The types of wills and trusts we handle include:
- Revocable trusts
- Last Will
- Trust Administration
- Trust funding
- Other key documents
Wills and trusts differ slightly. For instance, a trust-centered plan means that the trust must be fully funded (all assets must be transferred to the trust during your lifetime). An estate plan with trust administration means that after the death or incapacitation of the trust creator, the administration must transfer to someone chosen before now.
A revocable trust is usually created during one’s lifetime, allowing you to manage the direction and distribution of your assets upon your passing or incapacitation. Similarly, a will directs how your assets will be distributed upon your passing. However, it provides no plan for incapacity. Upon death, a will has to be probated, whereas a trust can avoid probate.
